What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces. Invisalign® uses a series of clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. So whether your teeth are crowded, too far apart or have shifted since wearing braces, you'll have a new reason to smile.

How Does Invisalign® Work? 

• You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. 
  
• As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position your orthodontist or dentist has prescribed. 
  
• You'll visit your orthodontist about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. 
  
• Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.

Because it is nearly invisible almost no one can tell you are wearing invisalign® aligners. Using the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, invisalign® uses your dentist’s instructions to create a series of custom made removable mouth trays (aligners). These aligners apply a controlled amount of force to your teeth, causing them to move. Each aligner is slightly different, moving your teeth gradually into the desired position.
